About LG fridges in Harare
LG builds its fridges around the Smart Inverter and Linear Inverter compressors, controlled by a main board and an inverter board, with no frost evaporators, multi air flow fans and, on larger models, Door in Door compartments, InstaView glass panels and ice and water systems. The compressor carries a long warranty, but the boards and sensors around it do not, and those are what Harare's power supply attacks.

My LG fridge is running but not cold. Is the linear compressor finished?+
Possibly, but not necessarily. A board that is not driving the compressor correctly, a low gas charge or an iced evaporator produce the same symptom. We test the compressor and the board before recommending anything.
Why does my LG display flash after a power cut?+
