Harare Fridge Repairs works on fridges and freezers only: household fridge-freezers, chest and upright freezers, bar fridges, wine coolers and commercial units such as underbar fridges, display chillers, beverage coolers and small cold rooms. We do not repair washing machines, stoves or other appliances, which is why we are quick and well stocked for refrigeration.

All of Harare, north, south, east and west, plus Chitungwiza, Ruwa, Norton, Mazowe and Domboshava. We are fully mobile, so the technician comes to your home or business with tools, parts and refrigerant.

Our phones and WhatsApp are answered 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and we attend genuine emergencies outside normal hours, for example a shop chiller full of stock or a freezer failing overnight. Non-urgent repairs are booked into the next available daytime slot.

Often within a few hours and usually the same day. Because our technicians follow daily routes through the northern, southern, eastern and western suburbs, someone is normally not far away. When you call we tell you honestly when we can arrive.

Almost every job, including regassing and compressor replacement, is done where the fridge stands. We carry a vacuum pump, refrigerant, brazing equipment and the most common spares. In the rare case that a unit needs workshop work we tell you first and agree the arrangements.

It depends on the fault and the fridge, so we do not quote a fixed price over the phone. We explain the callout and diagnosis charge when you book, then quote the full repair before any work starts. You decide whether to proceed.

Proper regassing means finding and repairing the leak, pulling a vacuum on the system, and recharging it with the correct refrigerant to the correct weight. Often not. Surges when power returns commonly damage the start relay, overload or capacitor, which are modest repairs. Occasionally the compressor or control board is affected. We test each component before recommending anything.

We confirm accepted payment methods when you book. Payment is due once the repair is complete and you have seen the fridge running.
